Peter Fraser

Peter joined Dwyer Durack in April 2010, became a Director in October 2011 and Managing Director in February 2016.
After graduating from the University of Tasmania in 1995, Peter did his articles at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Tasmania) before moving to WA in 1997. He worked at Monaghan & Associates and Ilberys Lawyers prior to joining Dwyer Durack.
Peter primarily practices within the area of Liquor Licensing and Criminal Law. Peter has extensive experience representing applicants for new licenses and existing licenses in applications for:
- New Licence Applications
- Extended Trading Permits
- Objections
- Defending licensees who:
- have been prosecuted by the police;
- received residential complaints; or
- are the subject of disciplinary proceedings in Liquor Licensing.
Peter regularly appears in all liquor related jurisdictions including on appeal matters before the Supreme Court.
In criminal and restraining order matters, Peter regularly appears before the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts in a wide range of matters including guilty pleas, jury trials, appeals against sentence and appeals against conviction.
Peter also practices in, and oversees, the Employment, Commercial and Dispute Resolution practice areas, on an as-needed basis, having experience in those areas over the course of his 20+ years in practice.
